We’ve spent two days at the Talacre Community Sports Centre in Camden, shooting a documentary promotional film to showcase the talents, aspirations and dedication of a group of NVQ student sports coaches.
As energetic young professionals the students spoke of the progression, sports badges and qualifications associated with their studies, opportunities for paid employment and aspirations for future careers. They also spoke of how the course has developed them as people, in terms of leadership skills and personal confidence.
Their passion for their studies was put into practice as groups of primary school children came into the centre to be coached in various sports by the students. Covering basketball, indoor football and other athletic activities, the student coaches showed great skill, patience and knowledge in working with the children.
It was a pleasure to meet and put onto film a group of people who were passionate about their studies, favourite sports and commitment to teaching younger children.
